Welcome to MLBC-AAPL.org
On July 17, 1959, fifteen landmen held a luncheon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the purpose of organizing a Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen. The new chapter was named in honor of the area's most famous landman, Michael Late Benedum. Today the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL is a dynamic organization representing over 1,500 members throughout the Appalachian Basin’s Northern and Central Regions. The MLBC serves as a guiding resource to support the region’s land professionals as they navigate their careers in a rapidly expanding and ever evolving industry. Particular emphasis is placed on maintaining the highest ethical standards, providing relevant educational opportunities, social networking and contributing to the needs of our community through annual charity events.
